My son is 9 years old and had to break for years cancer wounds, I had (the doctor said it was nothing) that the dentist has seen and has no answer and continues to enjoy her. At first I thought maybe it was his toothpaste and tried all the different species, but outbreaks remains. I am not a doctor. This is only my personal opinion, mother to mother. Too much citrus, like orange juice can cause painful inflammation. Or perhaps an allergy to something. Cause too much medicine as Motrin can. You can also a symptom of a larger problem, such as immune system disorders, nutritional problems, such as vitamin B-12, zinc, folate, or iron deficiency, and disorders of the gastrointestinal tract.
When wounds bothers your son, I would not accept the doctor who is not. I insist that your doctor some basic tests such as blood and allergy tests (or references to specialists who can explore the possible causes is executed). If the doctor does not perform the tests and then find another doctor who's more likable.
